Wait, what?

Made three shocking discoveries today:

1. Chumbawamba has been around all of these years

2. Chumbawamba’s discography includes 19 albums

3. Chumbawamba broke up this summer

It all happened so fast.

Chumbawamba has some significance to me. Back in 1997, when Tubthumper was released, my parents were in the middle of divorcing. It wasn’t the worst time of my life or anything but there were some sad moments. One being the first Christmas we spent separately as a family.

I really wanted the new Chumbawamba CD and ended up getting two copies, one from mom and one from dad. I cried. Not for the obvious reason (getting two Chumbawama CD’s for Christmas) but because I knew this meant my parents weren’t communicating.

Things are all cool now and my parents are best buds. However, whenever I hear “Tubthumping” it takes me back to that fateful year when all I wanted for Christmas was the Chumbawamba CD.

It’s sort of sad but you can laugh if you want. I do.

Liberate Your Love

Once again I present the lovely and ever so talented Megan Whitmarsh, who I’ve mentioned in the past. The wallet I have of hers featuring sasquatch, dinosaurs and space knights keep my days whimsical.
Here are a few of the same characters with friends doing a little diddy for us called Liberate Your Love. Hope there are more to follow.

Get More: MTV Shows

It’s a strange day, how about a little The Dirdy Birdy to top it off?

I had the pleasure of meeting John R. Dilworth and Maria Ulacia a few years ago while working for Cucalorus Film Festival

Mr. Dilworth, the mad man behind Stretch Films, is responsible for Courage the Cowardly Dog, Life in Transition, Rinky Dink and a handful of other films that are out of this world.

Maria works over at Stretch Films and is also an outrageous photographer. Here is a fun one from one of her websites.

One-of-a-kind to the max, these two. I love it.
