At first glance, bright colors give the illusion that Yuanyuan Yang’s work is playful, but looking deeper into her portfolio I think a lot of her pieces are about control and human expression. One of my favorite new elements, mentioned with Jon Carling, is when artists project beams from the subjects body to prove power.
